Eli had a big day for his 1 month birthday. He actually spent most of the day being very fussy, worrying mom like crazy, but during all this time his dad and Grandpa Gary were finishing up the final touches on his nursery. His "Big Six" were all together for dinner. Clay and I ordered pizza and Grammy Linda brought a lemon pound cake. Eli was just full of himself the whole time we had company. He slept while we ate and then cooed and stayed alert to play with all his company. The girls gave Eli a bath, while Clay ordered a computer for my parents, then we all went upstairs to take pictures of Eli in his almost finished nursery. Oh, before the bath we tried to use finger paint to get Eli's hand prints for his baby book. He has one heck of a grip, like most babies, and we ended up with more of a blob than a print! We only tried one hand.
His hair looks very curly when wet.
The nursery was still full of drop clothes, pieces of scrap trimming, and various tools. We found a little clean corner to snap a few pictures. You can see a little trim work and Eli seemed to like the new carpet.

3 + wks
Eli sleeping in his burrito wrap.
Unwrapping the top layer ...
I believe Eli has now had his picture taken in all of his designer onesies. This is probably my favorite. I keep squeezing him into them one last time!
Oh my, pacifier crisis! Our little square head. I love those lips!
Same scene with the flash off.
Mommy's little Valentine.
Dad picked up a Valentine's Day dinner from Our Daily Bread and it was heavenly, especially this dessert.

Growing Baby Boy
Eli is two weeks and two days. We can't check his weight officially, but he seems to be growing out of his newborn diapers and his newborn onesies are getting a little snug.
Eli put on his Hokie gear for one of VT's basketball games. He had to be changed before the game though, he always seems to have a diaper blowout when I put him in this onesie.
Here is the adorable Peter Rabbit quilt and pillow that several of my co-workers made for Eli. This is my little feeding station, where I spend most of my time now. Notice the hospital mug, that doesn't leave my side. The book sitting there has been a great read for in between feedings, The Friday Night Knitting Club, by Kate Jacobs. The rocking chair came from mom and dad, I can't remember where they got it from. It is pretty creaky, but I think Eli likes it.
